Product Description

The Ambient Weather WS-2000 is a comprehensive local and remote monitoring package. The high-definition, full color TFT LCD display is easy to read, day or night, and includes a light and dark colored background.

The console receives wireless wind speed, direction, rainfall, temperature, humidity, UV and Solar Radiation from the outdoor sensor array. It can also receive barometric pressure, humidity and temperature from the optional indoor sensor (sold separately). The brilliant, dynamic color tablet combines measured parameters with calculated data, such as 'Feels Like' Temperature (Wind Chill and Heat Index), Dew Point, 10 Minute Wind Speed and Direction, Sunrise, Sunset, Moon Phase, Forecast, and more. The multi-screen display also includes NIST internet time server synchronization, imperial and metric units of measure, high and low alarm conditions with audible alert, calibration of all major parameters, and real-time internet weather publishing.

Ambient Weather Network

Forge connections within the weather enthusiast community by seamlessly linking your Ambient Weather station to the Ambient Weather Network (AWN). Immerse yourself in an interactive weather community where your personalized online dashboard becomes a focal point for sharing your real-time weather data. This interactive platform empowers you to customize your dashboard according to your preferences and freely share your weather insights in the AWN community without additional cost. The Ambient Weather Network brings together like-minded individuals passionate about weather observation and analysis. Join the conversation, exchange valuable insights, and be a part of a community that shares your enthusiasm for understanding and appreciating the ever-changing weather patterns.

Responsive Design

Add your personal weather station to the map and create your own hyperlocal forecast for the community. Customize your personal weather dashboard, organize your tiles with the measurements you prioritize, and label your sensors. You can select the radar, wind, or temperature layers or drill down to view your neighborhood’s weather stations. Watch time-lapse videos of weather conditions from local weather cameras or add your own.

Weather on the Go

When you open the app, you will encounter an interactive map of weather stations, weather cameras, and map layers that provide an incredibly detailed and hyper-local view of current conditions. With this data, you can easily find information about localized temperature, "feels like" temperature, humidity, pressure, windspeed, and precipitation levels from actual points like the start line of a marathon or the north end of a beach.

Extensive Data & Alerts

Set up email or text alerts for high and low conditions for every parameter; send multiple alerts for the same parameter, and view all past alerts in a handy timeline. You can also visualize your data with daily, monthly and yearly graphs, or customize your graphing interval. The expandable tiles and handy charts and graphs allow you to analyze your data, or you can download csv files for a deeper dive.

Weather Station Features & Specifications The Osprey Sensor Array

The wireless sensor array connects to the console via RF (915 MHz) up to 330 feet line of sight in open air (100 feet under most conditions). The wireless signal will not pass through solid metal, earth, or ground. The sensor array's primary power source is a solar panel which charges the super capacitor, with optional battery backup (batteries not included).

The sensor array mounts to any pole between 1.25 and 2" diameter with adaptive mounting bracket and U-Bolt design that can be tightened to your mounting pole (not included).

Data Transmission

The WiFi settings are entered directly into the display tablet using the interactive buttons, and encrypted WiFi transmission is supported.

The WS-2000 also displays minimum and maximum conditions with time and date stamp, historical archived data, which can be exported to SD Card (optional, not included) for advanced data analysis in Excel. The SD Card is also used for firmware updates.
